Here's the layout I created for the Let's Get Sketchy 2nd Anniversary blog hop challenge hosted by Tone. Her twist was to use twine/string on the layout.
Here's the sketch:
And here's my take on the sketch:
I can never get circles of twine to work out for me, so I turned it into a double layered square frame of twine around my pictures and paper. I love the result! I've been using a lot of white CS background lately and I really like how this layout came together. It looks nice for a patriotic page without oozing red/white/blue, which is something I usually don't like about patriotic layouts. And again, more water colors! So happy I've discovered this, thanks to the blog hop challenge of course! These are some pics of my adorable girl when she was 2 and a half, from 4th of July that year, that I just finally got around to printing. I was wondering how I'd use them all together, but this sketch provided a great solution! I was also inspired by a challenge last month at A Cherry on Top by Sher to use colors inspired by some of the Olympic rings - specifically the ones on top - red, Black, & blue, with silver/gold/bronze accents.
Supplies:
Colorbok white CS, Red PP
Queen & Co blue chevron washi
Twine, stickers from Hobby Lobby
Other supplies from stash
